Welcome to Mero. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of merocompanion.com, including its public pages, waitlist, forms, previews, written material, graphics, and related services made available before the Mero application launches.

By accessing or using this website, joining the waitlist, or submitting information through a form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

For purposes of these Terms, “Mero,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Mero Companion and its operators. “You” refers to the person accessing or using the website.

Section 1Mero is currently in development

Mero is an AI-powered family-support service currently under development. The website presents our intended direction, planned features, demonstrations, design concepts, anticipated integrations, pricing ideas, and product vision.

The public website is not the completed Mero application.

Features shown or described on the website may be changed, delayed, limited, redesigned, tested with a smaller group, or removed before release. Screens, conversations, examples, integrations, automations, and family profiles shown on the website may be illustrative rather than live product interactions.

Nothing on this website guarantees that a particular feature, integration, release date, price, membership level, or service will become available in its currently displayed form.

Section 2Waitlist

Joining the Mero waitlist expresses your interest in receiving information about Mero and potentially being invited to participate in a future release.

Joining the waitlist:

• does not create a paid membership;
• does not guarantee access to Mero;
• does not guarantee a particular launch date;
• does not require you to purchase anything;
• does not create a partnership, employment relationship, or fiduciary relationship between you and Mero.

Any waitlist benefit, including an advertised free month for qualifying early members, will be subject to the eligibility requirements, product availability, and membership terms provided when Mero launches.

We may remove entries that are fraudulent, automated, duplicated, abusive, or submitted using another person’s information without permission.

Section 3Founding membership

Mero currently intends to admit a limited founding group.

References to a membership cap or a limited number of founding members describe Mero’s present launch plan. We may adjust the timing, structure, eligibility, or operation of the founding program when reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with law, protect users, or maintain product quality.

Any paid membership will be governed by additional subscription and product terms presented before purchase. You will have an opportunity to review and accept those terms before being charged.

Section 4No purchase through this website

The current public website and waitlist do not complete a purchase or begin a paid subscription unless a future page clearly states otherwise and provides the applicable price, billing terms, renewal terms, cancellation method, and affirmative purchase confirmation.

Submitting the waitlist or contact form does not authorize Mero to charge you.

Section 5Eligibility

The public website and waitlist are intended for adults who are at least 18 years old.

Children should not submit information directly through the public website, join the waitlist, or use the contact form.

If you provide information about a child, you represent that you are the child’s parent, legal guardian, or otherwise authorized to provide that information. Please do not submit detailed child records, medical information, school records, custody documents, or other sensitive child information through the public contact form.

Section 6Informational purposes only

The website provides general information about Mero and its intended services.

Mero does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, educational, emergency, or other licensed professional services through this public website.

Nothing on the website should be treated as:

• medical diagnosis or treatment;
• mental-health or crisis care;
• legal advice or legal representation;
• financial, credit, tax, or investment advice;
• a substitute for a qualified professional;
• emergency assistance.

Always use qualified professionals and appropriate emergency services when needed.

Section 7Emergencies

Mero is not an emergency-response service.

Do not rely on this website, the contact form, the waitlist, or any future AI feature to respond to an emergency, protect someone from immediate harm, contact emergency services, or provide time-sensitive crisis intervention.

In an emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource directly.

Section 8AI limitations

Mero is being designed to use artificial intelligence. AI-generated or AI-assisted information may sometimes be incomplete, delayed, misunderstood, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a particular situation.

Future Mero users will remain responsible for reviewing important information and decisions, particularly those involving:

• children;
• health;
• medication;
• school requirements;
• money;
• legal matters;
• custody;
• safety;
• purchases;
• appointments;
• deadlines;
• communications sent to other people.

No AI system should be treated as infallible.

Section 9Illustrative content

Names, profiles, messages, schedules, tasks, schools, events, organizations, conversations, images, and family scenarios shown on the website may be fictionalized, simplified, composited, or used solely to demonstrate Mero’s intended experience.

They should not be interpreted as statements about an actual person, school, organization, medical condition, family, or service provider unless expressly identified otherwise.

Section 10Acceptable use

You may not use the website to:

• violate any law;
• impersonate another person;
• submit false or misleading information;
• interfere with the website’s security or operation;
• attempt to access systems or data without authorization;
• introduce malware or harmful code;
• scrape, copy, or harvest website data through automated means without written permission;
• submit abusive, threatening, hateful, defamatory, exploitative, or unlawful material;
• submit another person’s private information without permission;
• use Mero’s name, branding, content, or product concepts in a way that falsely suggests endorsement or affiliation.

We may restrict access or remove submissions when reasonably necessary to protect Mero, visitors, or others.

The website and its original content—including the Mero name, logos, taglines, product concepts, text, graphics, layouts, illustrations, demonstrations, branding, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to Mero and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may view and share links to the public website for personal and noncommercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, publish, create derivative commercial materials from, or use Mero’s protected materials to develop or promote a competing product without prior written permission.

No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.

Section 12Feedback and ideas

You may choose to send Mero suggestions, ideas, feature requests, or other feedback.

You retain ownership of any original material you submit. By voluntarily providing feedback, you give Mero a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to use, adapt, and incorporate that feedback into Mero’s products and services without an obligation to compensate you.

Please do not submit confidential business information or material that you do not have permission to share.

Section 13Third-party services and links

The website may display or refer to third-party products, platforms, integrations, websites, or trademarks, including email, calendar, cloud-storage, smart-home, messaging, and other services.

These references do not necessarily mean that an integration is currently available or that the third party sponsors, endorses, or is formally affiliated with Mero.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Mero is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of third-party services.

Section 14Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information through the public website are described in the Mero Privacy Policy.

By using the website or submitting a form, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the Privacy Policy.

Do not submit highly sensitive information through the contact form unless Mero specifically provides a secure method designed for that purpose.

Section 15Website availability

We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any portion of the public website at any time.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Section 16Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available.”

Mero disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, and accuracy.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.

Section 17Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mero and its operators, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or connected with your use of—or inability to use—the public website.

This includes loss resulting from reliance on website content, interruptions, errors, third-party links, unauthorized access, or information submitted through public forms.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, Mero’s total liability arising from the public website will not exceed the greater of:

• the amount you paid to use the public website during the twelve months before the claim; or
• $100.

Because the current public website and waitlist are provided without charge, the applicable limit will ordinarily be $100.

Some jurisdictions do not permit all liability limitations, so these limitations apply only to the extent allowed by law.

Section 18Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mero and its operators, contractors, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from:

• your unlawful use of the website;
• information or material you submit;
• your violation of these Terms;
• your violation of another person’s rights.

This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Mero’s own unlawful conduct.

Section 19Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute relating solely to the public website or waitlist will be brought in a state or federal court with proper jurisdiction in New York, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms removes any consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

Section 20Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Mero develops.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and post the revised Terms on this page.

Your continued use of the website after revised Terms are posted means that the revised Terms apply to your subsequent use.

Section 21Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be interpreted as closely as legally permitted to its intended meaning.

Section 22No waiver

If Mero does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Section 23Entire agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement governing use of the current public website and waitlist.

Separate terms will apply to the future Mero application, paid subscriptions, beta testing, integrations, and other services when they become available.
